Dr. Joseph L. Heyman is an Account Executive at NWN Federal. Prior to retiring from the U.S. Army in February 2026, Dr. Heyman previously served as the Army Material Command Acting Deputy Chief of Staff G-6, Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the AMC Executive Deputy G-6.
Joe is an executive technology leader with a diverse background in telecommunications, cybersecurity, academia, and engineering. He has deployed to Iraq three times in support of combat operations and to Liberia in support of humanitarian operations. His previous U.S.
Army assignments include serving as a Network Systems Engineer, Assistant Professor, and Armor Officer, with notable positions such as Deputy Electrical Engineering Program Director at the U.S. Military Academy and Division Network Engineer at the 101st Airborne Division.
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from USMA in 2002, a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011, and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2019.
